I grew up on 60's & 70's rock... and I mean everything from mainstream to eclectic. Since then I've regressed back in time to discover country from the 1930's forward; bluegrass from the 1940's forward; jazz singers from the 1940's & 50's. AND FYI, for my music player here I use Project Playlist, because they offer songs obtained legally and they pay royalties to songwriters and publishers for the right to do so. Otherwise, I wouldn't have music here.
Movies:
Yeah, call me nostalgic... I'll go by favorite directors first: William Wyler; William Wellman; John Ford; George Cukor; Steven Spielberg; Martin Scorsese.
Next? Old B movie westerns, with stars like Buck Jones and Tim McCoy, Bob Steele and the Three Mesquiters, and yes, Gene Autry. His interaction with Smiley Burnette is hilarious and some of the songs they wrote superbly American West. I'm talking 1930's & 40's.
