Whether you agree or disagree with the focus of the war in the middle east, realize this. Military obligations last no longer than 6 years, and most are for either 3 or 4. The war in Iraq is over 6 years old - therefore, EVERY PERSON SERVING WITH OUR ARMED FORCES HAVE EITHER VOLUNTEERED DURING TIME OF WAR, OR HAVE RE-ENLISTED TO REMAIN!!!
These guys should be praised for their service, and the United States citizenry should try to find the reason which so many desire to remain with the military during time of war.
I am employed in an occupation that has many current and former armed forces personnel (as I am also a former Marine)....I have heard countless stories from these people about the civilian people in Iraq and Afghanistan being so grateful at the United States' offer of aid!
