Movies:
Wow soo many to chooce from. My no1 film would have to be Starshiptroopers. What? stop laughing. Think about it. It had war, gore, explosions, a love storry, full frontal nudity and no storrry line what so ever to get in the way of all this fun :P Also for the more philosopical amoung you should bear in mind that this is one of only a few films that shows a vision of the future in a state of paradise that is based on a facist system ov government. Most others show a free democratic society or a world gone mad.
Books:
I do enjoy Ann Rice's books. Im fairly familiar with the vampire chronicles. I loved the film adaptation of interview with the vampire. Although i was pissed of the fact that ive been waiting years for the follow up film and it did'nt even carry on from the cliff hanger that the last film left us on. Also it was fairly annoying the way the treid to fuse together "the vampire Lestat" and "the queen of the damned". It missed far too much out and ruined the whole feel of the books. Well enough bitching about that.
I'm also very much into Stephen Donnaldsons work. In particular the chroniciles of th unbeliver. Im very much looking forward to his next book.
I;ve enjoyed Frank Herberts work on the Dune serries too. I almost wept when i heard how many hours offootage David Lynch had to cut out of the origional film adaptation.
