All the great sci-fi classics. Asimov to start the list, and you can go on from there. If he was a contemporary of theirs or an idol, I have probably read their work.
In addition, who can pass up Tolkein, or Carroll, or any of a dozen others. If it's fantasy or sci-fi and it's instrumental to the field, I've probably read it.
During my reading periods, I'll devour a new book every couple of days. But work and life take their toll, so at times I may not get to read one for a month or better.
